Duncan Murdock is a student majoring in Microbiology and minoring in the Blount Undergraduate Initiative at the University of Alabama. He is involved in research with Dr. Jennifer Howeth of the department of Aquatic Ecology. Duncan is dedicated, driven and skilled.
In the wake of the April 27 tornados that shook Alabama, Duncan played a key role in the Mayday! tornado relief concert produced by Risen Savior Produtions. Duncan assisted with poster and T-shirt design, as well as social media promotion, in conjunction with two fellow students. In addition, Duncan helped set up and take down the stage equipment on the day of the concert, and performed with several other students.
Duncan is a member of the Sigma Alpha Lambda National Honors Society.
Duncan is a lifetime member of the Phi Eta Sigma National Honors Society.
Duncan is a member of the National Society of Collegiate Scholars.
Duncan is an undergraduate researcher working with Dr. Jennifer Howeth at the University of Alabama. He is currently involved in a project that seeks to determine the effects of time on succesional pond metacommunities.
